As big as your FACE

I accidently went out and had several drinks on Tuesday night, thus sabotaging my entire day wednesday, and any semblance I have had to healthy living lately. I love my life. Below is my documentation of my surroundings that night. As usual, no people. If you look close there is a bud or bud light ad in each shot... it's a "where's waldo" game!

This shot is a part of my journey home. I thought an empty jewelry window was hilarious. The triptych even funnier and i took at least 6 shots of the escalator before I got this clear one. Don't even ask why I was in the Pacific Center. It has absolutely nothing to do with cheeseburgers.

the vacation photos I've been waiting for

We finally developed our photos from our lomo...there appears to be a new light leak which adds a ghostly element to these images. If you haven't noticed yet, I prefer images without people in them. I don't know why. I added an image of me swinging from a vine to prove to naysayers that I DID in fact swing from a vine, and that it WAS in fact dangerous. I'm totally tough.

Here comes the sun

Saturday was the first really beautiful and HOT day I've had in Seattle. Rob and I celebrated by going on a 10 mile bike ride along an amazing trail on the water. The quality of light is very different in the Northwest than in the Midwest. It shimmers more and has a clarity that I feel doesn't happen in Kansas. Maybe it's the lack of dust in the air. Or maybe it's just been so LONG since I've seen the sun that I am glorifying it... Either way, here is my homage to the sun. Dear Sun, please stay awhile.

mushroom hunt

My friends Tyra and Michael live in a wonderland that they have designed and built with their own hands. Michael is an amazing natural builder, ceramicist, gardener, artist...you name it.  Check out a few images of their home that i took on my last trip. I can't wait to see what it looks like in June when everything is fully green. The last few photos are of the morels that Michael found by the river! He and Tyra were so excited they could barely stand it!
